With mountains in the backdrop, the landscape is rugged with trees and a river flowing; a kind of landscape found in the plateau of Deccan in India. As the summer heat scorches the earth, only the old trees with their deep roots and few kinds of hardy shrubs tend to survive by the time the monsoon rains finally grant respite.
